Elle Westra

Elle Westra is a Government Relations Associate at AxAdvocacy where she supports clients through legislative research, policy analysis, and federal advocacy efforts.

At AxAdvocacy, Elle monitors congressional and regulatory developments, prepares client updates and briefing materials, and supports engagement with policymakers and government stakeholders. She works closely with consultants and senior staff to track legislative activity, analyze emerging policy trends, and contribute to strategic advocacy initiatives across a range of issues.

Elle earned her degree from the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business where she studied Business Management with a focus in Political Science. As a student, she gained valuable experience on Capitol Hill from an internship with Minority Whip John Thune (R-SD). Following graduation, she returned to the Hill in the office of Majority Leader Thune where she supported both the Senator and senior staff.

She is a South Dakota native and now resides in DC. In her free time, Elle enjoys attending yoga classes, trying out new restaurants with her friends, or taking a weekend trip to Marco Island, Florida.
