William Shelby

William Shelby is an Associate at AxAdvocacy, where he contributes to client strategies through policy research, outreach, and stakeholder engagement. He has worked across various policy areas, including defense, intelligence, and appropriations, to advance client priorities. 

Before joining Ax, William interned in both the United States Senate and House of Representatives where he gained expertise in policy research, analysis, and development. Prior to his time on the Hill, he worked at a law firm conducting research for criminal cases, furthering his analytical skills and interests in public policy. His approach, combining his experiences in the Judicial system and Capitol Hill, provides him a unique perspective on client advocacy.

A Tuscaloosa native, William is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where he received his B.A. in Criminal Justice and Political Science. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf and cheering on the Crimson Tide.
